Wave
Will the wave sing
Its sinusoidal song,
Without the sand
asking to be freshened,
to sing along?
In Apollonian waves,
Life bathes and sways.
The wistful moon flickers,
Wills whistling winds
To soaring wings reaching,
Perennial days.
No time, but a moment,
To soak the air,
Perfuse it with sea-worthy
Salt and foam, then
Return. Demeter calls,
Poseidon yearns
Lovingly debonaire.
Luscious kisses
At the goddess’s feet,
Inspire the shore,
To bare no fruit, naked,
Let itself be.
Longing melodies blue,
The shore awaits
Break and retreat.
Pause and leave, then forlorn,
The sand sings,
Again forevermore,
Under the sun,
For another siren
The sea to bring.
Will the wave sing

to sing along?
